Fort White High School has partnered with the Florida Department of Health to host a FREE preventive dental program during the school day for the week of April 22nd thru April 25th.  Information sheets and consent forms are available for your child to pick up in the front office.  If you wish for your child to receive these no-cost services, please complete page 2 of the form (front and back) and have your child return it to the front office.  Services consist of a dental screening, fluoride application, and oral hygiene instructions for dental sealants to help prevent cavities on permanent molars, if needed.  This is a wonderful opportunity that we are so excited to have here!

Please contact Nurse Sarah Buckley if you have any questions or concerns at 386-319-7273.

SAFE SCHOOLS

From the Florida Department of Education:

The Florida Department of Education announced that the FortifyFL app is now LIVE. Any student, educator, parent or member of the public can report school safety concerns directly to law enforcement and school administrators anonymously through the FortifyFL app or www.getfortifyfl.com for free.

Any tips submitted via FortifyFL will be sent directly to local school and district officials along with law enforcement officers. To ensure that action steps are taken, all tips will be monitored and staff will be contacted where no action is evident. The Florida Legislature directed this tool's development in the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School Public Safety Act with the intent of increasing safety within our schools.

The app, which is available for download on Apple and Android mobile devices, is critical to ensuring all Florida schools are safe environments where students and educators can experience and share the joy of learning without fear.

If you have any questions, please contact the Florida Department of Education at safeschools@fldoe.org.
