BRIGHT FUTURES

Seniors must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and Florida Financial Aid Application (FFAA) for eligibility purposes.

Students must APPLY for the scholarship by submitting the Florida Financial Aid Application (FFAA) no later than August 31 after high school graduation. If a student does not apply for the scholarship by the deadline, a student cannot receive the scholarship! All eligibility requirements must be met by high school graduation, but scores of ACT®/SAT®/P.E.R.T. tests taken through June 30 are accepted for evaluation purposes.

After submitting the FFAA, the student is responsible for tracking application and award status online and keeping the Office of Student Financial Assistance (OSFA) informed of any demographic or institutional changes.

ATTENTION STUDENTS AND PARENTS:

Students MUST PASS the following statewide assessments to be eligible for graduation:

  • Grade 10 English Language Arts (ELA) Exam or meet concordant score requirement on ACT or SAT.
  • Algebra 1 end-of-course (EOC) or meet comparative score on the Geometry EOC, PSAT, SAT, or ACT.

FWHS will host the SAT at our location on the following dates:

  • August 24, 2024
  • November 2, 2024
  • March 8, 2025
  • May 3, 2025

There are links on our website to both the SAT and ACT webpages for easy access to registration.
